I love that you invited friends over to help with the gardening work. My partner and I purchased a small chunk of property with over a dozen fruit trees on it. We have been sharing a lot of the benefits with our neighbours and they let us borrow a lot of their yard tools. Anarchy doesn't always have to have a capital A!
Love your story at the end! I did the same split between native habitat and food gardening and the native meadowflowers are making me and the bugs very happy, please keep us up to date!
Could you add more context or explanation to this sentence? "People from Madrid, white people from the UK or US, frequently blow up the nationalism of historically occupied peoples, while invisibilizing their own nationalisms."
Maybe I should have said "loudly denounce" instead of blow up. Basically, people who are first class citizens of a nation-state, whose nationalism is naturalized and invisibilized, will be the first to denounce other ethnic/linguistic groups as "nationalist" if they don't want to live as a marginalized group under a government that is likely to suppress their culture.
That doesn't mean a new state is the solution, but it is a real problem, and that double standard I'm trying to point out frequently comes up.
Think I'm gonna edit that line to "loudly denounce".

I love that! The more examples we have of how adaptable mutual aid and real community can be, the better!
We don't need a Party to organize us. We don't need an NGO or government program to do it for us!
Absolutely!!!

thank you! maybe I'll write a newsletter about how the garden is doing when I'm harvesting my corn this summer!
please do! It makes me so happy to see people like us starting to grow food for our selves and communities :)
I always appreciate your writings!
