Hey everyone,
First I just wanted to say hello, eleven days after the last newsletter, and just share some things about my rhythm. Like I said when I first started this newsletter, my crazy bipolar ass can’t guarantee the kind of set publishing schedule that is more the standard for a subscription newsletter. Sometimes I might get you two in a week, sometimes I might go through a month’s drought. This will probably be even more the case after my brain tumor diagnosis and all the uncertainty to come.
But I really appreciate the support and the patience. Having this newsletter is an important resource for me on multiple levels. Also, I have a feeling that a bunch of newsletters are on the way, inspired by the travels and conversations and events and all the inspiring care of this whole month. Also, since the seizure at the end of April I’ve been waking up with a hornet’s nest (friendly hornets, builders, thinkers, tunnelers, pollinators) at 4 or 5 nearly every single morning, when for most of my life I have needed 8 hours or more, and once less of that energy is going towards logistical work around the move, communicating with friends, and getting capitalism and the State to not kill me by blocking access to resources that should belong to everyone, I have a feeling I’m going to dive into the backlog of writing ideas.
And as soon as I have better conditions for recording, finally do the audio versions for the last two newsletters! Sorry to the folks who rely on an audio format, just a heads up to check the website usually after just a couple days for when I’m unable to get the audio in the newsletter from the beginning.
Finally, if you want to request a more detailed review of one of these movies I discussed with Raechel from radical love letters, please let me know!
